Free Body Diagram For Trailer

I am looking for help on creating a Free Body Diagram on the Drag Link of a dump trailer. This drag link assembly reacts to the frame, chassis and the dump body. I can go further in detail if someone can guide me. I appreciate any help.

Start by creating a FBD for something else, say a drag link you might find in a car's steering system. Post a sketch here.

Thanks for helping. I hope to get one together for the FEA this afternoon. I have included the assembly of the drag link assembly, and a pic of how it is applied on a dump truck. The left end is attached to a hydraulic cylinder, which lifts the dump body. I really appreciate your help!

I see the problem; you don't remember what a FBD is.
Please review the kinematics book from your sophomore year in engineering school.

That is what they call drag link in the trailer industry. And, I know how to do basic FBD. Thanks for your time.

None of your attachments have a FBD in them anywhere...

with that said, one of those members appears to be pinned at both ends- meaning it is a two-force member which seen no bending. The FBD for that is very easy.

The other member is a three force member, which is slightly more complicated.
