I am currently working with an Aircooled Motors Corp. Franklin 4AC 150A engine and am haveing trouble locating an overhaul manual for it. Does anyone have any ideas as to where to find it, or even better have one?

They are the only practical solution for rare items like a Franklin engine.

Thanks for the information! I will have to check that out.

FutrA&P, As I recall from years ago... wasn't the TC for that series of engines sold to the Poles? PZL or something like that. Maybe if you wander thru the FAA RGL you can find details of the Franklin series. Great engines, very smooth but rather short life after overhaul. I used to fly behind one in a Stinson 150. Try a Google or Trade-A-Plane search, also in TAP there's an outfit called ESSCO that sells vintage manual reprints like that, good luck.

The best thing to do would be to get rid of the Franklin and install a Lycoming. Go with the most reliable powerplant.
