Hi all!

Have a project where we are asked to look at a frameless glazing system (4 swivel holes at corners) with steel angles instead or spider connectors with a tempered glass rib, or as i renamed, glass stud which is taking the horizontal load. (vertical span 14', Wind controls)

I researched last night similar treads, but found nothing similar.

Question is, I want to run some quick numbers for controlling wind load and was wondering if anyone here has some resource literature for the stud's tempered glass shear, moment capacity,E, etc. etc. In few words, Also what values you use for deflection (I was thinking L/600) ideas welcome!!

Get with the supplier to answer most of your questions. There are dozens of different stud used for this purpose. Supplier should also be able to specify deflection limits.
