Does anyone know the proper way to get an Inverse Fourier Transform on mathcad? I am having trouble matching Mathcad's results with correct known values for other functions. Does anyone have a big list of fourier transforms??

Um, no. I have had no problems with ffts and iffts in Mathcad. Have you read the help?

Yea, I have read the help. It keeps giving me some of the transforms as a functions of some "delta" variable.

Sorry my telepathy circuit obviously needs recalibrating.

Sounds like you are 'mixing up' the two types of maths that mathcad can do. One is straight numeric, and the other is symbolic.

If you are getting 'deltas' it sounds like the symbolic processor (uses the -> arrow to show results).

It can take more than a single moment to appreciate the distinction, especially as the symbolic processor can also do 'arithmetic'.

One thing that added to the confusion is the newer 'explicit' capability which uses (hidden) the symbolic substitution to show the intermediate results, and then at the end you use the numeric = to do the final calculation.

post a work sheet showing the example (use xmcdz without images or large results to keep the file size down). I'm normally in the forum.
