help will be appreciated. Thanks

Gregory Tschebotarioff, "Foundations, Retaining snd Earth Structures", McGraw-Hill has a lengthy section on the subject. ISBN 0-07-065377-1 My book is 1979 copyright

You can Google also for Gazetas. I used the Barkan book that BigH recommended and it is good.

Ditto on Richart, Hall and Woods

Attached is the Navy Manual on Soil Dynamics, which has a section on machinery foundations. Back in the old days, my squad leader - Mr. Timoshenko - said the best foundation books were, the Navy Manuals, Huntington, & Tschebotarioff.

I thought that Timoshenko was Russian and was never part of the US military.
