What happens when you try to deform aluminum while its at its annealing temperature? Are you able to form it without concern to fracture since the grains are recrystallizing?

Thanks

See if you can get a used copy of Forming Alcoa Aluminum.
They are available for between 15 and 45 dollars used , they are no longer in print.

By hot forming aluminum at the annealing temperature, you are basically forging. The temperature for forging and annealing of most aluminum alloys are in the same range, so I would not anticipate any issues. You may get some grain growth and recrystallization, like you do in forgings.

At slightly lower temperatures you may be able to use super plastc forming, plent of web results for that.
