Is it possible to create a few forced fields in the properties-section? I mean a scenario "as long as the forced fields are empty you don't have the posibility to save", or more likely a popup with the properties witch are still empty.

Can I make this with the Visual Basic part of SE

Any particular reason for doing this?

Because it often happens that engineers forgot to fill in the properties.

The only option I know of is to make the File Properties Dialog Box Pop-up when the first save is made.

Made you should make it a fine when they forget, dock it from their paycheck!! ;)

You need to use Insight which allows creation of mandatory properties through Windows Sharepoint Services.

You could do it using VB, which would enable you to check that the fields have been filled in and prevent saving until they have, but you would have to remove the save icon and replace it with your own. This wouldn't stop someone using the File > Save command though.
