NFPA 2007, Sect. 8.16.3.4 requires all branch lines on gridded systems to be "arranged for flushing". If you flushed each end of the secondary crossmain, wouldn't you be flushing each branch line as well? I have an AHJ that wants to see an individual flushing connection on each branch line in a gridded system. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Being a gridded system you would have at least one grooved coupling or a union on each branch line. Those are your flushing connections.
