Fluid velocity in sanitary stainless tubing 1

I've been trying to find guidelines for maximum recommended fluid velocity in a 2" Sch. 5S tubing system. We have pumps capable of 100 GPM (water) output, resulting in about 8 ft/s velocity & 5 PSI pressure drop per 100 ft. Besides the increased load on the pump motors & potential for hammer-related damage, are there other detriments to this velocity I should be on the lookout for?

The chart I have would target 4 - 9 fps for carbon steel, if memory serves it is around 15 fps for SS.

B31.3 also has recommended fluid velocities, can recall where.

You should be fine.
