Hi guys,

I wasn't too sure where to post this but here goes.

I've got to come up some Hydraulic Retention Times for a lagoon treatment system over the weekend, but the data I was given has unusual flow measurements (without units [thumbsdown]....). The average flow from the Flow Meter was 504505.

Any ideas on the units normally used for a Flow Meter in a treatment lagoon system?

Thanks in advance!!

EDIT: These measurements are from the UK.

It is probably liters per day. The figure is reasonable for a lagoon system.

If you know the community size, you can also estimate the flow. My understanding is that the UK design flow per person is 100 liters per day, for a premises with up to and including 3 bedrooms it is 500 liters per day.

Thanks a lot bimr, as l/d it gives me a pretty reasonable HRT!
