A contractor is offering us a 1500gpm@125psi fire pump (centrifugal-horizontal) with the relief valve discharging to the water supply tank and a flow meter that discharges also to the supply tank using the same discharge line of the relief valve.
The relief valve discharge pipe is 8" (the flow meter pipe is also 8" and joins the other with a 8x8 tee).
Is this OK? Is it OK with NFPA 20? Any comment on this will be appreciated.
