I downloaded a trial, but for some reason installation failes. Waiting for a Metor involvement.

Any idea of the cost of a single licence? Any csuggestions or comments?

Have used FloEFD

We ran a trial with it to compare the results to CFDesign
- a simple cooling circuit problem with HX and fluid
flow. The results from the two packages came out
completely different. FloEFD identified re-circulation
areas which didnt even exist in CFDesign.

We then validated the results with flow visualization
tests to see which was right - FloEFD was much closer to
the real flow and moreover identified troublesome
recirculation issues. CFDesign werent interested in
trying to find out why their solution was wrong - most
unhelpful !

Frankly the story CFDesign tells about upfront CFD is
misleading - you need to properly validate ALL CFD
results.

Hello,

we use FloEFD for 4 years now.

Sometimes we had some troubles, but we have a very good support!

At first we bought 1 floating license for about 25.000,00$. with a maintenance of 4000 a year. But now that mentor has taken over you have to 'lease' the license with support for about 6000. And if you stop paying you lose the license.
