Looking for info on flexable plastic with a lot of strenght.
We are developing a prototype climbing machine. A leaf spring is what I had in mind
I have seen an exercise machine using a plastic bow.
Can you point me in the right direction? Plastics that would replace steel?
Thank you

Acetal makes the best spring for a non reinforced thermoplastic.

If budget is not a factor, higher spring rates could be achieved with heavily carbon fibre filled nylon, so long as care was taken in the design to ensure correct orientation of the fibres Regards
