I'am doing analysis for a flagpole but I have no idea how to account for the effects of wind onto a flag. Would I assume to just take the wind pressure load over the whole area of the flag? This doesn't seem reasonable because wind is actually flowing parallel to a flag. However anybody who has swung a flag around knows the effect of its drag is quite big.
