Having trouble locating fire rated 15kv cable. Anyone have experience with fire wrapping 15kv cables or some sort of intumescent spray on? 3M makes a fire wrap for conduit and cables trays.

Thanks.

There are many cable fire stops material manufacturer. For instance:
The material and the method of fire stop building have to be UL or Factory Mutual approved.
The fire stop has to withstand the fire rating duration of the penetrated wall or floor.

Fire proofing (by wrapping the cables) is different from sealing penetrations in walls/floors for fire stopping. I have seen many cables in the manholes and vaults required to be fire wrapped using products like 3M tape to limit damage due to a fault and arcing in other cables in the same MH/vault.

You need to clarify your application in more detail to answer it properly.

I am not sure but check with Raychem if they have something similar to 3M.

Look up Scotch 7700. I think it's as good as you can get. There are some faults that nothing will help.
