my question is which particular regulations are applied on the fire hydrants permitting,installation, maintenance, inspection etc. can anyone list those regulation. i have been asked to put together a document listing all our fire safety features. since i have no expertise in this field.. i am trying different ways. need help please

Usually the city or water district that is in charge of the water system takes care of the fire hydrants. Each one may have their individual regulations. One good source for basic information is the American Water Works Association Manual M17 "Installation, Field Testing and Maintenance of Fire Hydrants".
