Greetings all!

The task is to find extremities of a free-form curve with the purpose of aligning datum planes against them. I have found solution based on sketcher - see attached file. Is it as good as it gets, or am I missing something? Is it possible to directly align a plane again such extremity?

Attached is a solution using a function called 'Measure Extremes' which will define points at the extremes of the curve. Note that inaddition to the points, which I then used to define the Datums, there are expressions giving you the X,Y,Z values for these points. Note that these points are associative so that as the spline changes shape or size, the 'Measure Extremes' points will update.

This function is right in the 'Analysis' menu, how come I missed it for so long? Huge thanks, John!

Well it's only been around for a couple of releases.
