I'm interested in finding out what programs people use to find duplicate files on their computers. I'm continually copying files to different folders and chewing up large amounts of disc space on my hard drive.

I usually add a version # at the end of Excel and Word files with the idea that, when the work is finalized, I'll eliminate the earlier versions. The problem is compounded with a network server backup where I'll store copies of my important files. These I rarely do housekeeping on.

For a limited number of files, the MS search function helps, but I'm wondering if any of you have used some of the many software products that are out there and if you have any favorites.

Thanks in advance.

Search for 'jdiskreport' and see if that does waht you want.
