finding a part

If i've got a large assembly open (V20), and i want to know if a specific part exists in the assembly (without using "where used"), is there a simpler way, without trawling down the assebly tree

Hi Moog,
In your assembly pathfinder click on the Queries tab - that's the one with the Folder and a Question mark.
In the drop-down box Right Click and then in the list that appears click Name. Now type in the filename (or part of it) that you want to find and hit the green arrow.
If the parts exist in the assembly they will be highlighted.

Hi Moog,
I was a bit short on time when I posted that reply.
The method I described is for a 'quick' query.
You can also create and save a query by clicking the icon on the left below the drop-down box.
The saved queries will then be listed in the pathfinder.

You could do similar in revision manager to using 'edit, find' or 'select files'
