Designing a new system that has 15% water, 20% natural gas liquids and 65% hydrocarbon condensate in the stream.
I want to filter the entrained particulate matter to 20 micron.
Now if the inlet is lower than the outlet then the gas could be bled off at the outlet.

This would be done by installing an accumulator at the outlet with a level control whereby when the accumulator is gas filled the level switch would activate and when the liquid would push the gas out the switch would activate again closing the vent valve.

Dpes this sound reasonable.

Does anyone have a simpler solution.

Not sure of the difference between Natural Gas Liquids and H/C condensate, but as it's normally pretty lively stuff, clearly reduced pressure leads to gas evolution. what you describe looks like a very simple two phase separator. The key is how much gas, how big your accululator is and how often you need to cycle the valve - where does the gas go and what do you do if the valve doesn't close?? You look as if you've got the simplest solution possible.
