Hi!
I need to check if some discretization malfunctions in conjunction with the contact forces of gear meshing depend on the 20-node element types we used. therefor i would like to do a few comparison calculations with the 27-node element type.

1. can anyone tell me please if there is commercial or non-commercial software that supports/includes 27-node elements? (i know already that msc.marc mentat is capable for that)

much more important:
2. has anyone experienced yet if there is an observable difference between the 20-node element an the 27-element when the element is loaded by a single force in the middle of it?

thank your for thinking about!
