Good Day,

I am designing a fixture where we can put a strap and pull it. I am wondering if there's any other way to do the FEA for this fixture.

I designed two I beams parallel together while the cylinder rod is welded to one I beam and one have clearance so we can strap the webbing. I run the simulation and the predicted load but Solidworks FEA does not account the other I beam as stopper for the cylinder. I designed this to distribute the load to each I beam instead of one I beam taking all the stress. I will attach the starting photo and photo after the simulation.

do you have "contact" set up ?

This information was useful for me as well
how nice it is that you can find an answer to your question without even voicing it
