FE simulation of wave propagation in honeycomb composite structures

Hey everybody,

I am very new to Abaqus and finite elements.
I modeled a CFRP facesheet as well an aluminum honeycomb core, both with continuum shell elements, and try to connect those two parts.
How can I connect the facesheet with the core without clicking all the line elements on the basic side of each cell?
I am able to select the nodes but not the line elements connecting those nodes!

Hopefully I could make my problem transparent to you and looking forward for your help!

- Connector > Coincident Builder
- Special > Fastener
