Fatigue of screw threads.

Mechanical Engineers Handbook by Myer Kutz covers this under perpendicularity, and basically it says that the fatigue life can be seriously affected. For example, a 2 degree error reduces the fatigue life by 79%. They obtained their information from a report done by SPS Technologies.
