I am looking for some guidance on the above subject - textbooks or user friendly fea software. My understanding is ASME Sec. VIII Div.2 does not cover this issue.
Thx
Sam

ASME #84-PVP-101 has analysis of toriconical [radiused @ knuckle]shells - couldbe combined with Roark/Div.2 thin-walled shell analysis. [Beam on Elastic Foundation type]

Then you can go into Div2 App5 for Fatigue

Thanks Arto. Where can I find that paper (tried @ asme.org already - no luck yet)
