failure criterion on 2d model

Hi all,

what kind of failure criterion should I use for a 2d-model? I use ductile and shear damage with surface to surface contacts and I have an error: it says that I have to use *CONTACT option. But I just can't do that since I'm working with axisymmetric parts. Please help me, thanks
