We have conducted lot of experiments on large 4-stroke diesel engines to find out the parameters affecting Specific fuel consumption and we came to a conclusion that only charge air temperature and cooling water temperature can be controlled to reduce the SFC. But what I require is whether any experiments have been conducted and results obtained in measurable form (ie) for SFC drop of 1 gm/Kwhr how much reduction in Charge air temperature is required.
