Facility Conditioning

We have a 25,000 sqft facility and do custom molding. Currently their is no conditioning on the shop floor. As you can imagine, the middle of august is tough. I'm researchingoptions and companies to help me through the analysis of what would be suitable for conditioning this area and installation and operational costs. We know that air conditioning is too expensive considering the heat load of the equipment and are now considering some type of swamp cooling system. Any advise or direction is appreciated.

Evaporative or swamp cooling is not very effective if the relative humidity goes above about 30%. It will also raise the humidity considerably in the shop, which may or may not be a concern for your product and equipment. I have seen a heat exchanger type evaporative cooler where the humidified, cooled air is used to cool unhumidified air, but I don't know much about their installation cost or operating cost. Maybe someone else out there knows more about these?
