Hi everybody,

Doing right click on a "Facet feature" then "Edit Definition" will bring up the "IDD" menu.
How can I get the "Facet Menu" instead?
I am using Wildfire 5.0 x 64.

Thank you,

Liviu

I am going to reformulate the question I have.
I have a part with a facet feature (Wildfire 5.0 x64)
Right clicking (in the tree) on the "facet feature" followed by "Edit definition" should bring up the "facet menu" (it's what the Wildfire 5.0 Help is saying)
Every time I am doing this I am getting the IDD (import data doctor) menu instead.
Things are OK if I am doing the tasks in Wildfire 3.0.
It's something new in Wildfire 5.0 with the "Facets menu" I am missing?

Thank you,

Liviu

you have to look for the little plus sign ... WF4 and higher after you edit definition. That tool is extremely powerful and can take a long time to master.

Hi Liviu,

is it the REX facet menu that you are looking for?
Firstly, you only get that with a REX license...

but..

I also noticed that when upgrading to 64bit, that menu
isn't available even with a REX license. when I
questioned PTC about it I got this response..

REX is not supported in 64 bit.. what a joke!!!
apparently, half of REX (the facet editing part) is
developed by PTC and half (the surfacing section) by
geomagic - one works, the other doesn't.. guess which one
doesn't!

we dropped support on REX immediately on hearing this..
we have a few dual boot systems in the office for this
purpose, but to be honest, I now use other programs to
achieve better results..

hope that helps..

Thanks James.

I will switch to 32bit. I did not feel any improvement using 64 bit version.

I installed Creo Elements 5.0 32 on a 64 bit machine and no problems with the RSX extension anymore.
The "Facets menu" and "Restyle menu" are back.

Thanks again James.
