I normally create extrusions by defining the sketch as I go. Today a colleague sent me a sketch (.sec file) and I now want to extrude it but I can't seem to find a way to import it into a part (.prt file) so that I can reference it.

I'm sure there's a simple answer but my search is getting me nowhere. Please help.

you need sketch data from file
open new sketch go to sketch tab and select Data from File -> File System
pay attantion for scaling and rotation options (for better sketch location prepare referenses)

Cheers boriska, you're a legend.
