For nozzles, are extruded tee's allowed? Is there a reference in the codebook anywhere?

The pic on the right is what I'm referring to:

Piping components (fittings) are permitted to be used for pressure vessel construction per ASME Section VIII Division 1, Paragraph UG-11(a)(1) and Paragraph UG-38 covers the required dimensions of flued openings. Fig. UG-38 is very similar to the picture you posted.
