Extrude - Remove material problem

Hi,
I started to make 3d models in ProE and I need to help with function Extrude - remove material. When I use it to create a groove on solid it makes something absolutely different. Can u advice me where I am doing mistake? On images you can see What I mean.

looks like you're trying to remove material from outside of your sketch section, use flip direction button so the yellow arrow points into the section
