We are developing a beacon/emergency light that has a 3.5" wire passing through a PC/ABS plastic shell. The unit needs to be water-tight.
We are currently using a 2-part potting material (don't have the spec in front of me) but it leaks through all the small cavities around the wire body, so it's rather messy and time consuming to use.
What can you recommend as an alternative to potting that has a slow flow, fills in cavities of about 0.050" over the size of the wire and remains some what flexible over time.
We only need to seal about 0.250" length of wire.
I am sure I have missed out on many details, but hoping you can lead me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Steve
