Export of a model with contact sets in ABAQUS

I created a model with I-DEAS Preprocessor... the model consists of several parts with a gap between.. I defined contacts sets between the surfaces of these parts and spring elements to remove singuralities..


now my question, if I import this file in ABAQUS for nonlinear static analysis, does ABAQUS identify this contact sets and spring elements or do I have to define it completely new in ABAQUS? I tried it several times, but ABAQUS had problems with the defined contact surfaces.. if I use the I-DEAS processor for static analysis, there`s no problem..
