Expansion tank sizing.

Hi folks, looking for a formula or "rule of thumb" for sizing expansion tanks on hot water heating systems. Pressures above and below 30psi (max 160psi) and temps below 240 deg.F.
Boiler sizes up to approx. 10,000mbtu/h. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look in ASHRAE’s HVAC Systems and Equipment book.

Manufacturers will almost always have sizing and application information in their literature.
