Hi all,

I’m looking at ASTM A694 F65 for a subsea flange. However the client spec specifies ISO 15590-3, and there is a difference in maximum Molybdenum content.

0.15 – 0.20% for ASTM A694 F65
0.1% for ISO 15590-3

I'm aware that Molybdenum primarily increases the corrosion resistance of steel. But is this excess a show stopper or is it permissible?

Thanks

Mo is a strengthener for F65 amongst other added strengthening elements. You will need the Client's approval to use F65 in lieu of ISO 15590-3.
