Excel Spreadsheet to Solid Edge curve help please

I am having problems translating excel spreadsheet data that forms a curve to solid edge. I can seemingly import the data to solid edge just fine. A smooth fit curve is generated by the software, but I am unable to manipulate it and create solids and protrusions from it. How do I close the curve with a straight line to form a solid 2D shape that can be protruded?

Use a 'space curve' to close the generated curve.
You should be able to pick each end of the generated curve.
