EV Brushless Motor & Controller 2

I'm building a little EV (electric vehicle).
I use a DC brush motor (coiled disk) and a planetary reduction gear inside a wheel. All these (including controller) are relatively easy to make, to obtain and to handle.

I have the possibility to make a brushless DC motor, but I have no controller. There is somebody who knows to do this and to co-operate with me?

Although I'm mechanical engineer, for the reliability, I intend to make a brushless drive without a reduction gear (slow motor).

Can somebody help me? If "yes" I'll give more info.

Sorry for my English. I hope you understand well what I intend to do.

Thank you very much.

Just to start the ball rolling. How big is the motor you envisage. What sort of vehicle .
I could suggest a pulse width modulator circuit running at say 200 hz with the off time varied as this would give you more grunt at low speed ~ but it may be tricky when you consider you will want to use some sort of regenerative braking.
To get direction control the standard "H" configuration would work but the same restriction applies.
Have a browse thru some of the electronics and enthusiast magazines. I can recall articles in "electronics Australia" and "silicon chip" (local stuff for me) but I can not find in reference in my copies here. I also think the US magazine "New scientist" has given this an airing.
There is an extensive thread in this forum on the subject of EVs well worth the read.

Regards Don
