Hi!
I've noticed there is a difference between the predefined stress-strain curve in SAP2000 v16 for concrete (in Nonlinear Material Data) and the one specified by Eurocode 2. For instance the curve in SAP2000 has a maximum at the characteristic compressive cylinder strength while Eurocode 2 states that the mean value of the cylinder compressive strength should be used as a maximum while performing a nonlinear analysis. There is also a difference in the compressive strain values corresponding to the maximum and ultimate compressive strength between table 3.1 in EC2 and the values used in SAP2000. I can't remember exactly but I think I've seen the same difference in a recent ETABS version.
Does anyone know why is this so? Am I missing something?
