Hello everyone,

at the beginning I would like to apologize if my question will seem ridiculous but I'm new in FEM.

I have a question about axisymmetric extrusion of aluminum profiles. For the last month I was trying to perform simulation of simple axisymmetric extrusion just like in an example provided by Simulia (1.3.5 Extrusion of a cylindrical metal bar with frictional heat generation).
In my case initial billet has a diameter of 38 mm while the final profile has only 8 mm so overall deformation is quite large. Extrusion speed is 3 mm/s. Although I was able to extrude small part of the material after short while deformation of a grid was so large that ABAQUS wasn’t able to calculate any more results (ALE adaptive meshing was used).

So now I’m trying to use Eulerian analyses to solve this problem. I even found example (1.3.14) that should help me build this model from scratch but I still cannot make it work (errors during submission). I found somewhere description how it should be done for this exact example. So now my question is
How am I supposed to specify Eulerian inflow and outflow surfaces for this particular example ? (is it just normal surface creation process ?) and
How in CAE can I determine Eulerian boundary condition for inflow surface ?(or maybe it can be done only by editing keywords).

Thank you all for any kind of help.
