While designing beams in ETABS, the results display separate values for total longitudinal reinforcement, torsional longitudinal reinforcement, and flexural reinforcement. However, the sum of torsional and flexural reinforcement does not exactly match the total longitudinal reinforcement—there is a slight difference. In this case, should I consider the sum of flexural and torsional reinforcement, or should I rely solely on the total longitudinal reinforcement for beam design?
