I am looking for a simple equation (very rough estimate) that I can use to estimate drifts in a moment frame due to the standard equivalent lateral seismic loads, assuming same columns and same beams, same spans and heights with pinned or fixed bases.

Uniform lateral load will also do.

I usually derive these myself but failed this time.

Your input will save my time, for which I thank you in advance

The solution is published in a book by Smith and Coull "Tall Building Structures Analysis and Design". I've not seen the solution anywhere else.
