Estimate ground bearing pressure

Hello all,

I need to estimate the allowable soil bearing capacity of the existing grade for a crane pad.

I know the ground bearing pressure excerpt by the crane from the lifting study.

I have a couple of boreholes (within 100m) of the crane pad location. Borehole shown material of each layers, SPT, groundwater elevation.

Could you please direct me on how to estimate the soil bearing capacity?

Check out the temporary works forums library, I think there is one about cranepad design that covers this. TwF 2019.

There is also BRE 470 and possibly a Ciria manual on the topic

Sorry - it's the name of an organisation in the UK ("Temporary Works Forum") - no idea why they call it that, I'm not British.
