Error Message: Cannot initialize ASI

I am installing ACAD Map 2000 and I keep recieving this message. I have installed and re-installed numerous times and I can't fix this error. Also, I have manually installed MDAC file from the ACAD 2000 CD and it has not helped. We have ACAD on numerous machines and have never had this problem....does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I think ASI stands for AutoCAD SQL Interface. If so, then it has something to do with your databases and ODBC setup.
