Erosion and Sediment Control for Parking Lot - Temporary

I have a site which will be excavated in multiple phases. Upon completion of all the phases, the parking lot will be re-paved. However, I need to provide temporary E&S control methods prior to final paving. There will be vehicle traffic over the site so temporary vegetation is not an option. The site will be accessed by both heavy equipment and cars.

I am hoping to use an environmentally friendly method for stabilization, but am open to suggestions. I have seen some information about products such as 'Dirt Glue' and 'Earthzyme/Dust Stop' and these seem to have potential but I am not sure how practical these methods will be over a small area.

There is always the option of adding a geotextile fabric with aggregate over top but I am concerned about the vehicle traffic, mainly the car traffic.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

place silt fence / berms or other measures along the perimeter of your site to contain the sediment on site. use frequent watering during earthmoving operations to reduce the dust. use a gravel driveway entrance to reduce the mud tracked onto adjacent street. sand bag around drainage inlets and provide onsite retention of runoff if possible.

In PA, USA, you are required to do all cvg says, except the dust control, which isn't an erosion concern, but the municipality would probably make you anyway.

We call the "gravel driveway entrance" a Rock Construction Entrance, and it is 2-4" stone.

You also must immediately apply a stone base, so no further control of the surface is required. Paving can wait as long as you need it to.
