How do I model, in epanet2, a freely discharging open pipe? I want to see the amount of flow due to static head from a source tank.

Set up an Emmiter at the junction at the end of your pipe

...and give that emmitter a very high rating, such as 10,000 gpm / psi. This will tell the program that you have a *very* efficient nozzle.

Thanks Messrs. Hydrae and DMcGrath, your answers confirmed what I thought I should do. But now what should be the emitter coefficient do you suggest I should use to model an open pipe?

Model the pipe as it is, diameter, length, roughness
add in any minor losses such as entrance, reentrance, 90, tees, valves, ect, the end of the pipe is the efficient nozzle as DMcGrath pointed out.
