Engineering Calculations in Water sector

Hello Guys,

I need to know which engineering calculations are mostly done by Engineers working in designing Water utility projets. If you perofrm some of these calculations please list them. You may mention also the relevant standards.

I need to know the software packages required in case I started my water treatment conultancy business. I know some of them but I am afraid to miss many of them. By the way, I am not design engineer. I am just Project guy who used to make commands most of the time!!

There are books available at the bookstore that are devoted specifically to environmental calculations.
