Hello

I am supposed to carry out a response analysis. I have to excite the mounting point and study the response at a critical point in my part, for various frequencies.

While carrying out the simulation, i had some doubts.
While creating a frequency event, i had two options -1.to add enforced motions , 2.to add enforced forces. In my case, i am going to vibrate the mounting position .So i chose enforced motions and applied predefined acceleration function.
My doubt is , at which cases i have to apply enforced forces??. Is there any practical cases at which enforced forces are applied?

And which analysis type i have to choose? whether "modal displacement" or "modal acceleration"
