Version 6 of Enerclalc's software has been released recently with a new and improved feature. An internet base activate/deactivate licensing has been implemented to ensure that only a single user uses the program at any one time. Now, this wouldn't really be a problem assuming of course that after deactivating on one computer, that it could actually be activated on another. That's not all of the story however. Once an attempt is made to activate on the second machine has failed, it does not allow activation anywhere, since their server thinks the license is already being used. This requires that the user contact Enercalc to reset the license, so it may be re-activated on the originally installed machine. After a few days, Enercalc will finally get around to resetting the license, (if your lucky)
After several attempts to help tech support to track down this bug, they seemed to have given up. We've been directed by them to deal directly with the security company that has written the activate-deactivate module for them, which we don't really have time in our work schedule to do after the two weeks of working with Enercalc on this issue.
We just want to know whether anyone else out there is dealing with similar issues with this software, since Enercalc claims that we are the only one having this problem.
