Hello Evryone!
Our company is to build a desander consists of a hydro-cyclon and an accumulator tank, for an oil operator in North Sea.
The cyclon effect will remove the sand from the main stream and the sand free stream will be directed to main line.
The question is: "Shall we expect a severe type of emulsion of water and oil?"
Some spec of the Crude and the operating condition are as follow:
GOR = 162.8 Sm³/Sm³,
Water Cut = 81 %
Oil flow rate = 4793 Sm³/d,
Operating Press. = 64 bar
Operating Temp. = 62 C
How can I evaluate if there will be a severe type of emulsion or not? (Any reference book, website or calculation method)
If there will be any Emulsion then what solutions do you recommend?
